Electrolytes are a group of minerals (including sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium) that are important for the nervous system, muscles and a good fluid balance in the body. Horses not only lose moisture when sweating, but also these electrolytes. Adding electrolytes to the diet is important for recovery after training and for maintaining a good fluid balance in the body.
Dosage & Application
HELTIE horse® Electrolytes may be given as a top dressing over feed, introduced into the mouth with a syringe or added to drinking water. Make sure fresh drinking water is always available.
Dosage: 30 ml per day
