HELTIE horse® Clove is a clove extract rich in cannabinoids. Cannabinoids support the endocannabinoid system (ECS system), which supports resistance, provides vitality and is a natural calmer. HELTIE horse® Clove is made from various clove plants (whole plant) and therefore contains many different types of cannabinoids and therefore also a very extensive effect.
The ecs system in horses
Scientists only discovered in the early 1990s that humans and animals have a whole network of cannabinoid receptors in the body, called the endocannabinoid system. This system signals the brain to solve problems and ‘fill holes’ if necessary. The system signals problems at a cellular level and communicates this to the brain. This way the brain knows what to do to solve a problem.
Dosage & Application
HELTIE horse® Clove has a strong smell and taste due to the clove. We therefore always recommend building up the dosage very slowly to allow the horse to get used to the taste. It may simply be given as a top dressing over the feed or else injected directly into the mouth with a syringe. The use of HELTIE horse® Clove is not permitted at competitions, therefore stop at least 72 hours before a competition.
Dosage:
- Low: 1x daily 1 ml per 100 kg body weight
- High: 2-3x daily 2 ml per 100 kg body weight
