‘Right form of omega-3 fatty acids’

Tasty salmon oil (residual product) from farmed salmon from Norway. This salmon is fed with natural antioxidants that give the deep red color to the oil. Salmon oil is rich in omega 3 (EPA and DHA). To maintain health, it stimulates the immune system and has a beneficial effect on the heart and blood vessels. Gives more energy and promotes appetite. Supports fat burning in horses in training.

3 forms of omega-3 fatty acids

Did you know that there are 3 forms of omega-3? ALA, EPA and DHA are all three of the omega-3 fatty acids. Horses naturally get enough ALA through fresh greenery, but to be functional, ALA must be converted to EPA and DHA. This is an inefficient process that does not work well for all horses. Do you want your horse to receive directly absorbable omega-3? Always give omega-3 in the form of EPA and DHA. Flaxseed oil is an ALA omega-3.

Fish oil for horses?

Fish oil is a suitable source of nutrition for horses. In Iceland, for example, fish is fed because of the good nutrients and because they are high in calories. A large number of horses find salmon oil tasty. For picky eaters, we recommend that you gradually build up the dosage and start with the 500ml trial pack.

HELTIE horse® Salmon Oil can be used for horses of all ages. Also for pregnant and lactating mares.

Usage horse:
Low (maintenance): 30 ml per day
High: 45 ml per day for ponies and 60 ml per day for horses

Usage dog:

My tinkers had to get used to it, slowly increased to the correct dosage. Would be good for mug / mite.

Since using the salmon oil, I have noticed a huge difference in my mare’s coat. She shines! She is also a difficult eater with other supplements I feed her. But with the salmon oil in it, she eats it with no hesitation!

Nice that there is one product that contains all fatty acids at the same time, so I am sure that I give the good oils in the right proportion to each other. Gives me peace of mind that I don’t give a product so that only his coat will shine. But also for the internal health!

We have been giving this to our haflinger for a number of months, who suffers from artosis, stiffness & old tendon injuries. Since we give her this she has been so renewed! She is a lot less stiff and feels much better! We just give this through her daily diet and she also loves it! Very happy with it and we will continue to give it to her! Recommended

After the first month in the field my horse suffered from a severe allergic reaction in his neck: bald, chafed areas of the itch and the spots were burning hot, he went completely mad. Of course I sent the vet over and also ordered the salmon oil from Heltie to support him. It is unbelievable how his neck has healed, no more itching and the spots are barely visible. Moreover, his coat starts to shine … I always brush him extensively, but the way he shines now is really special. I will keep giving it!

Very positive about the salmon oil. Horse that had been very thin due to worms and didn’t gain weight afterwards. By using the salmon oil more he had more appetite and got faster back to its old weight. Both horses shed more easily, and they shine beautifully again. They first had to get used to the taste, built up slowly and now they love it!
